You are here, in this world (period). Some of us have underlining questions like “why am I here?”, “For what reason?”…etc…
Let’s take a breather and live this moment and every moment, in a state of happiness and love. Being is a state of happiness and love is not necessarily how and what you have been taught as a child, depending on your childhood. Happiness and love should come from within you and not necessarily from outside influences.
How can we get to this natural state of happiness and love without searching for them outside of ourselves?
Simple…you create it…not someone or something else creating it for you, but you creating happiness and love for yourself.
I believe we are here in this world to learn to love ourselves unconditionally, the alternative would be to judge ourselves, criticize ourselves….I think most of us have experienced more of the latter.
Unconditional love is loving yourself and others freely…loving what is and all that is…without conditions. That means everyone and everything (period). It doesn’t mean that you have to agree with the opinions of others or go along with someone just because you are supposed to love unconditionally. To understand the source of this love without conditions, it must first be created from within you. When you truly love yourself without restraints or conditions you understand yourself….and eventually others.
Loving yourself is a process—a process that most of us have been cultivated to ignore. As a child most of us are taught not to cry, or scream, or feel in a certain way (sad, mad, and even glad) because it is not appropriate in the moment and depending on how and where you grew up, you grew into those rules and the beliefs and values that came with the territory; in other words…those conditions.
There comes a time in life to self-communicate. That means "communicate" with your, how do you get to know people, family members, friends, etc...anyway? You ask them questions, and you get answers. Questions like “How are you?”, “How are you feeling?”, “How was your day”, “What did you do today?”, “What do you think about….?.” This is the way you become more aware of others Emotions, Actions/behaviors and Thoughts (E.A.T.s) and it is the exact same way you become aware of your own E.A.T.s.
To begin to understand the beautiful human being you have developed into, you must first become aware of your Emotions, Actions/behaviors and Thoughts (E.A.T.s). To begin to love yourself without conditions…loving who you are at this very moment. This is not the kind of love that thinks you are better than someone or everyone (Ego)…or love that belittles or hurts….that is not unconditional love because it leaves a trail of conditions in its path.
Unconditional love is a love that prevails, it is a love that spreads more love within you and outside of you. When you love yourself you forgive yourself, you see yourself for who you are, an individual with beauty and faults, learning from them, grateful for all that is, grateful for the illuminated self-awareness.
To be truly self-aware learn to love yourself unconditionally...how else could you even go there. Investigate yourself, take a deep look at who you have become, have love in your heart for this person that lives in your body. You should get to know the person you have become, you spend most of your time with her/him. Communicating with yourself, is knowing yourself and as Aristotle so wisely said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
Good is abundant in this world, loving yourself unconditionally will light the path and lead the way to all the good…waiting patiently, for you to discover it.
