Today, I started a new Mindfulness class. I haven’t formally studied in a classroom setting for such a long time; so when my friend asked me to sign up with her yesterday, I jumped at the chance. Eager to see new faces, connect with new people and to come face to face and connect with me…here and now. I believe situations, people, places, things, etc. do not just haphazardly fall into your life from out of the blue (although it may well seem that way sometimes). I actually believe they were placed there to promote our awareness, personal growth, self-examination and self-development and we choose and create what we want from them; albeit consciously or unconsciously—but we each, individually, make our own choices in life. Those choices that have gotten us to who, what, where, when, how and why we are--who we are today. This includes our illnesses, diseases, the common cold and flu, traumas and triumphs of all sorts, as so much more. Now, if you are thinking about closing this blog and my philosophy on life, my life along with it—I totally understand! But please, (consciously), choose to hear me out beforehand and then you can come to your own conclusions about your life as you wish--and the blogs you choose to read.
Ok, where was I, YES--I honestly do believe that
Life happens FOR me, and not to me.
For me to learn, grow and develop and if I am self-aware enough, of what is going on around me and within me I can turn those lessons into lessons that empower me; especially the tough lessons—you know the life lessons, life happenings, that really get to you, the ones that really hurt--deep down hurt--like a knife has been jabbed into you and is now being twisted.
Do you know that feeling, that pain? Well now it’s time to come to terms with it…yes terms! Write them down, put them into words, say them aloud and get friendly with your pain, your hurt!!!! Acknowledge and communicate with the hurt, pain. It ain’t going anywhere and if you try to ignore it or forget it you will find that it just doesn't work. It is happening for you and it will just keep coming back stronger than ever before in new situations, people, place, things, events, etc. Hello, it’s trying to get your attention! Remember life happens FOR you, right?
So, how in the world did this awful, painful fill in the blank happen

Ask the question and then ANSWER IT! Yes YOU! Do not ask the question to your mom or dad, therapist, friend, companion, children, Psychologist, etc. It’s not their life! It’s YOURS! OWN IT! And then care for it. Love yourself enough to do the work and get to the bottom of WHO YOU ARE! It is a day-in-and-day-out job and it won’t end in this lifetime, this body, until your 6 feet under. So get used to YOU.
Get to know and become more aware (conscious) of
WHO you are,
WHAT you are—acknowledge all your parts,
WHEN you are your authentic self and when your not,
HOW you are who you are—when, where and with whom influenced you to be who you are today,
WHERE you are in your life RIGHT NOW and
WHY you are who you are (LIFE PURPOSE)!
The who, what, when, where, why and how questions are one of the first things we are taught in grade school in order to gather information and create better communication skills.

Become the investigator into your own life! Creating yourself—who, what, when, where, why and how you consciously choose to be--your authentic self!
And PLEASE don’t take my word for it! I am just another outside influence, you just happened to be reading this. You are the creator in YOUR life! YOU and ONLY YOU choose what's right for you and create your reality! Self-awareness supports conscious choices!
